A word you looked up while reading is worth more than a word from a list, because you met it somewhere. AALookup keeps that sentence with the word, schedules the review for just before you'd forget it, and lets you train whole word books the same way.

How to start
- Download and open AALookup
macOS or Windows, under 20 MB, no account needed.
- Let it see your screen
On a Mac, allow Accessibility so it can read the word under your pointer, and Screen Recording for text in games and images. Windows asks for nothing.
- Point at a word
Three-finger tap on a Mac, or press your shortcut on Windows. The meaning appears next to the word.
Common questions
Where can I review?
In the desktop app, on Android and iPhone, and in the browser. The browser version has a Chinese interface for now.
Can I bring my existing progress?
Yes. Learning records exported from other apps can be imported, so your history isn't lost.
How many words can I save?
As many as you like. Free sync across devices covers your first 100 unmastered cards, and Plus syncs everything.
Is it free?
