Service and contact
AALookup is an independently operated reading and vocabulary tool, available through our apps, website and related account services. Features vary by platform and version. For service, account or purchase questions, contact support@aalookup.com.
These terms govern your use of AALookup. Personal-data handling is described in our Privacy Policy. If you buy through Paddle, the Paddle Buyer Terms also govern that transaction. Purchases through Waffo Pancake are also subject to the purchase terms presented at its checkout.
Account and responsible use
Keep your sign-in information secure and use accurate account details. Only upload or use material you have the right to use. Do not attempt to access another person’s account, bypass usage limits, disrupt the service or use automated requests to abuse trials or allowances. We may restrict activity needed to protect the service and other users; contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken.
You retain your rights in your own words, notes and other personal content. Dictionary and publisher materials remain subject to their owners’ rights; an AALookup membership does not grant rights to third-party dictionaries or copyrighted materials.
Membership and payment
Plus is optional. Current prices, included lookup allowance and sync rules are on the pricing page. The initial launch will offer USD or CNY monthly and annual subscriptions through Paddle only; check your account page for availability. Waffo Pancake USD subscriptions and CNY one-time purchases of 1 or 12 calendar months using WeChat are planned and are not yet available. The following one-time purchase terms apply when those options become available. The selected purchase mode, service period, currency, total charge and any renewal terms shown before payment form part of your purchase.
Paid access begins after payment is confirmed. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. One-time purchases do not renew automatically. If you are eligible to extend an existing fixed-term membership, the additional period follows that membership; otherwise it begins after confirmation. Your account shows the actual service dates. Calendar-month periods use the corresponding day, or the last day when that month has no corresponding day.
Every option grants lookup allowance monthly, including annual subscriptions and 12-month one-time purchases. Unused monthly allowance carries over for one additional month; membership expiry freezes remaining allowance for one month before clearing it. Allowances are for use in AALookup and have no cash value.
The region initially displayed is a price preview. Final currency, taxes and total are confirmed at checkout; changing the billing country may change a Paddle checkout price. Existing subscriptions retain their agreed pricing. Choosing another payment service does not transfer or cancel an existing renewal agreement; manage that agreement before starting another subscription.
Cancellation and refunds are explained on the refunds page. Deleting an account does not itself cancel a subscription: cancel renewal first, or contact support for help. An approved refund may remove only the corresponding purchased benefits; it does not cancel unrelated membership periods.
Availability and learning data
Local dictionary lookup, saving and local review remain available without Plus. AI output can be mistaken; check important meanings and uses against reliable source material. Online services may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or faults.
Free sync covers unmastered cards. After the 100th card uploads in full, regular uploads and downloads pause. Marking a card as mastered can free a slot after the cloud update is confirmed. Mastered cards remain local: cloud copies saved only under the free plan are removed and cannot be restored on a new device. Content saved during membership is retained after membership ends. Active membership restores full sync; local content already on your devices remains usable throughout. See the pricing page for the full sync rules.

Changes and your rights
We may update features and these terms, with notice of material changes through the website, your account or another appropriate channel. Purchase decisions should be based on the benefits currently offered, not an expected future feature. Paid benefits for an existing period remain subject to your purchase terms and mandatory consumer rights.
Nothing in these terms removes any rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to limit. If you have a concern, contact support so we can work to resolve it.
