Turn encountered words into a word list
Save words, add notes and decide which words should remain in active learning.
Save the words that matter
- Use the save-word action from a lookup or Search, or add a word from the vocabulary workspace. Desktop settings can also control automatic saving during lookup.
- Open Words to confirm the entry. Search or filter the collection to find an existing word before adding it again.
- Add a personal note if you want a reminder. Captured sentences can help you remember where a word came from, but they are not automatically turned into review questions.
- Use the offered mastery, suspension and removal controls to keep the active list useful. Marking a word mastered, suspending it and removing it have different effects; read the action shown before confirming.
Bring in a word list or reading material
Where the import entry is available, choose the supported input, inspect the preview and resolve options before applying. Article import requires you to review the proposed words; importing text should not silently commit every candidate.
An imported word is vocabulary, not proof that a particular published book taught it. Notes, private reading context and unrelated dictionary examples are not used to invent a Review question. If a card has no usable question source on this device, it can remain unavailable for review.
Use it offline and across devices
Saving and organizing words works locally without an account. Offline review also needs usable question material already on the device. Signing in can synchronize eligible words, notes and learning state under your account’s current sync policy.
Captured reading context and local dictionary files are not included in vocabulary synchronization. Keep a separate copy of important source files; signing in on a new device does not reproduce the entire old device.
